The Wangaratta Rifle Club is proud of the contribution of it's members to the 2018 Commonwealth Games on the Gold Coast. 

John McDiarmid was appointed to the prestigious role of chief range officer for the 2018 Games, making him solely responsible for the fullbore range’s safety and management. John has previously been the chief range officer at previous Commonwealth Games in India as well as a range officer for the Melbourne Games in 2006. 

The twins, Ross and Ron Aldrige are also contributing to the 2018 Commonwealth Games as butts officers for the full bore events. The twins have held this position and other roles as markers in many State, National and Internationl shooting events over a long period of time and are key contributors the sport of full bore target rifle shooting.
